Description
C63000 Nickel Aluminum Bronze (AMS 4640) is an extruded or forged wrought aluminum bronze that contains nickel, and is alloyed for exceptional strength and toughness. It’s used where higher mechanical properties are required. It’s used in equipment for the energy markets, in aircraft, marine and a host of other industrial applications. It finds use as valve stems, high strength bushings, valve guides and seats, gears, cams, ship propellers, as well as propeller nuts and shafts. Larger rounds, ring and shapes can be forged and rough machined.
C63000 has very good resistance to resistance to salt water as well as hydrochloric and other non-oxidizing acids making it well suited to marine applications such as pimps and propellers. It is also resistant to stress cracking in many applications as well. This makes C63000 Nickel Aluminum Bronze (AMS 4640) an excellent solution for to elevated temperatures.
C63000 Nickel Aluminum Bronze (AMS 4640) has many excellent aplications:
- Oil & Gas - Valve Stems, Pump Shafts, Seal Glands, BOP Parts
- Aerospace - Landing Gear Bushings, Bearings, Actuator, Strut Bushings
- Automotive - Valve Guides & Valve Seats
- Marine - Pump Parts, Bolts, Ship Propellers, Propeller Nuts,Shafts
